Hello!
Welcome to the Center for
Living website! We are a local 'mom and pop' shop in the Quad Cities ran by Dino (that's me) and
Tina Hayz. We have created a place for people to come and express themselves; to try something new. We've
been in business for 3 years and have grown tremendously over that time. We offer programs and classes to bring
inspiration into the lives of the people we serve. We are here to help you find your 'center' and then
live creatively from that space. Life is just too short to let it slip away without having had some fun and learned something
new along the way!
For us, a big part of bringing joy and inspiration into the community is through theatre, but
we have other programs as well; yoga, tai chi, belly dancing, aikido and centering prayer to name a few. THERE'S ALWAYS
MORE IN THE WORKS!
I'd
like to spend most of this space talking about theatre. There is something very powerful about the practice of theatre.
Especially with and for children. We focus most of our classes and camps on the QC Youth. We exist for them
to have the experience of doing solid theatre with several opportunities each year to do popular, large scale shows, such
as Disney's High School Musical or Jungle Book and School House Rock Live or GREASE!!
We also love to introduce theatre
to adults who have never done any acting at all. We are here to assist YOU in realizing that you have creativity...and
then helping you express it. GoodNESS do I wish more adults would come out and play!
We accept EVERYONE
in our classes. We don't turn anyone away. You don't have to have experience to be in our shows.
We'll take you wherever you're at and GIVE you the experience! We have ALL levels of performers in our
classes. Most of our acting classes culminate in a performance. You must have the pay-off of all that
work!
Our classes average between $3.50 - $12 per hour, depending on the class. You can
spend that at the movies just watching someone do something they love. Here, you can spend (most likely) less and
actually DO something that will change your life!

We have creative opportunities for
everyone aged 5 and up! This place is here for people to express themselves in ways they may not have thought possible
before! We offer programs of many types that are all geared toward one thing...to help you feel more ALIVE!
